GREEN TRANSITION
Even though ships are a climate-friendly transport, the emissions amount to more than 3 million tonnes of CO2 per year.
The goal is to reduce the emissions with 50 % by 2030 and 100% by 2050. Green alternatives must exist in order to achieve this. We believe that green hydrogen will play an important role as a zero-emission fuel in the years ahead.
For vessels that travel longer distances where battery operation is not advantageous, hydrogen can be an excellent choice of climate-friendly fuel.
Norway's investment in the green transition represents an enormous market opportunity for the export of goods and services. The investment can also contribute to increased value creation and employment. HyFuel aims to be a part of this!
